The film tells the story of three dark-skinned boys from a poor background who use stereotypes about them to steal from kids from wealthy families. It is hard for the audience to judge which side is in the right.
“Play” was inspired by true events. A few years ago in Göteborg a group of dark-skinned boys stole from the children, abusing them psychologically. The film provoked a heated debate in Sweden.
